Caldwell rocks?

Would you believe that this band is from Caldwell?

When I was a little kid my parents would often let me listen to their old records. I don't know what it was about the music but I loved it. Obviously. I mean to this day all I really think about is old rock music. One of my favorite records was by Paul Revere and the Raiders. They're still a band that I really really love. In fact, I've dj'd a few times at different clubs around SLC but one night I dj'd at the famed, and now burned down, DV8. I played this song that night and it was great to look down from my spot and see people dancing around to it.

One day I met Paul Revere in Nampa. It was bizarre. I've been a fan for most my life and here I was standing next to him at some cheesy event on the steps of city hall while I worked at the Idaho Press-Tribune. All I could think was "Is this really the guy? This old guy standing here is the guy who did Just Like Me?"

It was him all right. I didn't say anything to him because it would have just been lame and it seems whenever you meet people like this it's always a big let down because they never live up to the legend you've built around them in your mind. So I'll just enjoy this great song and try to forget about that weird day in Nampa.

When we were first married we rented this old house in Boise that was owned by Paul Revere. I had a Paul Revere and the Raiders album that I would play over and over when I was probably in the 6th grade or so. Anyway the house ended up being a cockroach house so we moved shortly after. I knew he lived in the area but didn't know they were from Caldwell. Interesting!
