French pop

My music tastes are all over the board. I'm not sure how it happened but this week I really got into female French pop music from the 1960's. I found a couple of awesome albums on iTunes. The strangest thing happened though, I found this artist today named France Gall. Her stuff is really really cool. She has this song called Laisse tomber les filles. It's a great song. Anyway, last weekend I saw Tarantino's Death Proof and there is a song on that soundtrack called Chick Habit by April March. I really liked the song so I bought the soundtrack pretty much for that one tune. (Well that and the Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich song.) Then today, I find the France Gall song and it's the same exact song, just sung in French and from the '60's. Funny. So naturally, I had to buy that one too. The french one is better.
